The Kitchen and Garden

As well as all the maintenance that goes into keeping our quirky old building up to scratch, our primary focus this year has been a major upgrade to the kitchen facility. It feels a bit like spending money on undies! You won’t see the improvements but trust they are in place!

Enough of kitchens – we are also very excited about our plans for a new gardening range. We plan a “grow your own” area of seeds n pots n stuff and a range of wildlife conservation products to complement our existing ranges of statuary and decorative items. Organic food from our own gardens is clearly the way to go – with a bee box to busy up pollination. If you need advice on growing your own, chat to us – we are learning as we go!

The Walled Garden

We have reduced 'food road miles' by sourcing locally and we are beginning to produce some of our own organic crops - this year a bumper harvest of strawberries was on offer or converted to Georges jam.

After a successful swarm capture, we have three hives all busy feeding on the wild flowers in garden.

Eco Style in the Cellar

Last summer we completed renovations on our Eco Cellar. With a more minimalist approach. Our clothing speaks for itself and needs no embellishment. Our emphasis will continue to be sustainable sources sympathetic to the environment, but style and comfort are in no way compromised. We offer Braintree hemp and bamboo fashion, Bishopston Fairtrade cotton, lawn and calico, Bam bamboo yoga and casual wear and Bohemia and Culture for a fashion boutique look.

The Shoe Shack

Our new range of El Naturalista shoes are on offer in the shoe shack, a cosy corner to sit and try on our stylish and comfortable footwear. El Naturalista shoes are manufactured from natural and recycled materials in the Rioja region by methods that avoid pollution to the environment.

Dine at Home

If you don't fancy cooking, we have fresh or frozen meals to be heated at home in the oven. Select from favourites such as fish pie, lasagne, THai curry and add dessert or cake for pud. Complete your meal with one of our speciality wines from our cellar.
